Band Biography

Phunk & Roses is blasting off like a psychedelic unicorn on roller skates, firmly planting itself as a must-see jam band in the local music carnival. Inspired by the improvisational genius of their musical deities, they thrive on deep audience connection—like a musical therapy session where no one knows the rules. Each show is a sexy kaleidoscope of glittery sound, blending precise musicianship with chaotic exploration that makes you surrender to the flow.

Cathy Fogleman

Cathy Fogleman, Vocals

A native New Yorker and former chorus line high kicker, she mostly left her Broadway jazz hands behind for the wild terrain of improvisational grooves. Now, Cathy's busting out impromptu dance moves mid-jam, shaking things up and embodying every beat. Vocally, Cathy's all about harmonizing… until the moment calls for a powerhouse lead. Then she's belting out funk-infused lines that penetrate into the souls of the audience. One of her greatest pleasures is hearing her harmonies weave into the music, and bringing her whole, theatrical self to the unpredictability of the jam.

Dave Fogleman

Dave Fogleman, Bass

Dave likes long, intimate walks in the woods with his bass while contemplating tasty bass lines and legendary jams. Dave's favorite food is sea bass because it's spelled the same as his favorite instrument. Rising out of the NYC concrete jungle, Dave clawed and fought his way to the top of the music scene that only existed in his brain. Dave hopes you like Phunk & Roses.

Evan Molho

Evan is a lifelong guitarist who's been chasing the magic of music one riff at a time. His deep-rooted love of shaking his booty and the years spent honing his style, blending structured grooves with spontaneous, jam-heavy freakouts keep listeners on their toes. Whether he's channeling pre-show lot vibes, the twinkly tones of never-neverland, or turning on his lovelight, Evan's playing is all about creating moments that feel both familiar and unexpected.

Matt Barcewicz

A lifelong traveling musician, Matt was born on the road in the parking lot of an A&W Restaurant off Route 66 in Albuquerque. Raised by a family of circus performers, Matt has always had a passion for entertaining under the big top. In recent years, he retired from his post, playing the calliope, after finding his true calling in studying the keyboard stylings of Brent Mydland. Matt has two pet piranhas and enjoys collecting fossils.

Nick Fesko

Sometimes Nick says music is his first language. Other times he says 'playing music is just like breathing'. We don't know what he's talking about, but who cares? Dude's got killer vibes.

Vin D'Agostino

Nerdy engineer by day, groove machine by night. He's been on a rhythmic quest for over two decades, armed with his trusty Yamaha Recording Custom drums (RIP Sam Ash) and his favorite Vater Manhattan sticks (because only the finest tools will suffice). In Phunk and Roses, leading from the back, he delivers classic rock with a funky twist. Sometimes, sprinkling in just enough Phish-inspired mojo to keep everyone guessing if they're at a cover show or a full-on jam sesh. When he's not busy coding or drumming, he's working on his master plan to bring maximum groove to the universe — one drum fill at a time.
